MASCHINE LOVE and NOW back on streaming services

My latest MASCHINE LOVE and my first release, the EP NOW will be available on all streaming services and stores worldwide.

MASCHINE LOVE already is available for streaming since January 1st of this year. After being a Bandcamp exclusive album, MASCHINE LOVE now can be enjoyed on all major services. The 10 Synthy tracks span from ambient to disco, always with a melodic touch.

My first EP NOW was dropped from most services as the Blend Label closed its doors in 2019. It will be back on the streaming circus from mid- January. The Chillout EP with the prominent title track NOW (mixed by Grammy winner Brent Kolatalo) is still dear to my heart as it marked the beginning of my coming back to music. It now can be enjoyed again in its original form with a renewed simpler cover picture.

I encourage you to listen to both of my albums now and put the on your playlists.

So, as always Liste, enjoy, like.

Love, Markus

New year, new music?

As you may know 2018 was a year of disasters for me. Not only was I hospitalised with having had a heart attack, I still suffer from cardiomyopathy. But I am recovering and almost back to form. But by far the worst thing happened in September when my music harddrive, yes the one with all my instruments and my music went down. Sure I was backing up most of the files, and the instruments could be restored. But what I didn’t know , was that the backup was corrupted too.

I set all my hopes in a professional recovery service, prepared to shell out some serious money to get it all back, but all my hopes failed. Yep. Almost all the production files of my tracks since 2013 are lost. Thank god, only two current, unreleased tracks were lost. The tracks up to 2016 are on an old PC I will copy some time in the future. Some are backed up on blend.io. And I’m currently downloading them. So, until December I was on a forced production hiatus, as I had only very basic tools to work with, and underwent some medical rehab treatment.

But once black Friday came the Itch was back. I replaced my Maschine MK1 with an MK3 and stocked up on some synth. You can never have enough plugins …

So I’m back to making music but for now searching a theme for the next album. I’m sure the spark will come soon and I’ll be back on some late night sessions fiddling over some Bihar beat … Until then I wish all of you a very good start into 2019 and health for you and your hard drives.

PS: I am now backing up daily on a separate NAS harddrive and checking the backup integrity also daily.

Remix my track on blend.io and win big.

Remix the track “No Gummy Bears For The Genie” from my new release NYC NIGHT on blend.io for a chance to win prizes from Roli and Izotope as well as a Remix release on my upcoming Remix EP.

I’m proud to announce that leading music collaboration platform blend.io, owned by Roli, the makers of the creative music creation tools Seaboard and  Blocks, is hosting a remix contest for my new release “No Gummy Bears For The Genie”. Read the official announcement here:

Markus Adams Calls For Remixes From His Newest Release, Win Prizes From Izotope, ROLI & More!

German songwriter/producer Markus Adams is known for this signature ambient electronic instrumental music popular among the Blend community. Markus has released a follow up to his Blend release NOWwhich is a concept album called NYC Nights.

Markus bought a cheap field recorder and was inspired by the big city’s constant sound from Sirens to Jackhammers to buzzing people to create an incredible new record fusing influences of Rock to Jazz to EDM to Classical. Markus Adams has published the stems for his pulsating dreamy pop anthem “No Gummy Bears For The Genie” and wants to collaborate with the Blend community to hear new remixes

Are you ready to collaborate with Markus? Here is how to get involved

  1. Pull “No Gummy Bears For The Genie” project

  2. Create your remix in your DAW of choice

  3. Publish your update by June 5th to submit your remix and have Markus will review all of the submissions

 And that’s it!

Markus and Blend will review all of the published updates and pick one grand prize winner to receive Neutron (Standard) by Izotope, and ROLI’s Equator as well as get their remix released on the Blend label. The runner ups will have their remix featured on Markus’ remix release. Start exploring his awesome track and let’s start making music

“Remix contests are both fun and educational”

I am so thrilled that blend.io is again giving me this incredible opportunity for showcasing my music. Remixing is fun and educational at the same time. I do it constantly between making my own tracks. It is a great way to get some insight into other producers projects. Eventually this is also the way I won my Seaboard Rise25, a professional Mix from Grammy nominated Mixing Engineer Brent Kolatalo. And in the end it even led to my first EP release “NOW” on the blend label.

So if you are making electronic music be sure to check it out. I have given you the full Stems and some Midi Parts. But you are not required to use more than one of the tracks. Have fun with it, rework it any way you like and give it your twist. The offered prizes are well worth a few hours of  fun with your favorite pass-time. I am looking forward to reviewing your remixes. Bpm is 123 Key is Ebmaj. Oh and if you want to know the origin story of this album and the track, just go read it here on my blog or on the track descriptions on Bandcamp.

And while you’re thinking about your remix, be sure to follow me on SpotifyApple MusicAmazon Music or wherever you’re listening to your music.

Thanks for reading, thanks for listening, enjoy making music
